The Butcher's Guild

Would love to know what distinguishes these two knives from one another, both in terms of knife specs and their intended use. No expert observation here but in terms of specs it appears to me that while both feature an upswept, trailing piont, most Cimeter blades seems to be generally more broad, wider than a breaking knife blade. Are the two knives designed for different tasks? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Your observations are correct. I've seen both knives used for similar tasks. Butcher preference may be at play here. Because its blade is a bit narrower, it would allow for a bit more ease when you need to rotate the blade.
